We invite everyone to the museum's 7th Annual Bowling Bash.
The Bash is a fun community and family event. All are welcome.
The format is Nine-Pin No Tap for all bowlers. Nine pins on the
first ball can earn a strike.

2010 marks the 25th Anniversary of the founding of Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum. The museum, located on the Old Erie Canal, is where 90' long cargo boats were built and repaired during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The all volunteer museum will be celebrating this occasion at Canal Fest. Many family activities throughout the day including:

Children's Games
Magic Show
Climbing Wall
Clown Performance
Scavenger Hunt
Wagon Rides
Demonstrations on Canal Boat Building, Blacksmithing
Bocce Ball Games
Model Train Display
Alpacas from BMR Acres

The museum buildings will be open for visiting and this year include an exhibit on the Civil War and Erie Canal posters. Music by the Canastota Community Band is scheduled and at 2 PM a special ceremony will pay tribute to those who had the foresight and fortitude to undertake the excavation, preservation and restoration of this unique historic site. A time capsule from 1992 will be removed and replaced with a 2010 time capsule.

The Big Raffle prizes are furniture pieces constructed by the museum Crafters. First prize is a glass display cabinet with a $600 value. Second, a game table with a $250 value, and third, a mirrored wall coat rack, $150 value. Tickets are $1 each and are available on the grounds. A chicken BBQ starts at noon and other refreshments will be available.

Please plan on joining us for the Annual Dusty Metzger Golf Tournament, held at the Poolsbrook Golf Course in Kirkville. The 18 hole tournament is played using the popular Captain and Crew format. Each foursome may be any combination of men and women. Fees include cart, prizes, and picnic lunch at the conclusion of play.
